Dr. Sachar graduated from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in 1997. Her philosophy is simple: “Care for your patients and perform dentistry on them, the way that you would want it performed on yourself.”
After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree, she continued her training for two years as a resident at New York Hospital Queens and as the chief resident at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.
Dr. Sachar then completed advanced dental training at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. This comprehensive dental training included advanced understanding and management of complex cases including occlusion, TMJ, full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers and whole smile makeovers. Later, she became a member of the Spear Education Faculty Club.
Dr. Sachar also then went on to complete a mini-residency in “Airway Orthodontics” including understanding and management of dentistry in patients with sleep apnea, airway obstruction and breathing disorders.
Dr. Sachar is currently on the Board of Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, Alumni Association. She is also a mentor to the graduating class of dental students. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr Sachar is Chair of the Mentroship committe at the New York County Dental Society and is actively involved in the mentoring of new dentists in Manhattan, NYC.
At Sachar Dental NYC, Dr. Sachar provides a full-service dental practice for everything from dental cleanings and simple fillings to dental implants and smile makeovers. However, she is perhaps best known for her exceptional ability to promote preventative care in her patients. Her gentle touch and personable nature are what make this practice feel more like a family.
Dr. Sachar is passionate about preventative dentistry and her approach is always to be as conservative as possible for any given situation. She believes in using the least toxic dental materials and opts for the least invasive procedures whenever possible. Additionally, Dr. Sachar is currently in the process of completing her “Detoxification Certification” and the use of integrative and alternative treatment options where suitable.
As the owner of Sachar Dental NYC, Dr. Sachar has assembled and oversees an interdisciplinary team of doctors, dental experts, and a highly skilled administrative staff.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Sachar enjoys spending time with her thirteen year old son and her family. She enjoys photography, reading, baking and music.

Dr. Osterman is a dual specialist in prosthodontics and implantology. He has been practicing for more than 25 years in New York City. In addition to a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Osterman’s post graduate training degrees include specialty in prosthodontics, surgical and restorative implant dentistry, and hospital dentistry. He is a former Associate Professor for NYU College of Dentistry Department of Comprehensive Care where he helped to found the Faculty Dental Practice at New York University Medical Center.
Dr Osterman holds the prestigious position of being currently on the Board of the New York County Dental Association.
He treats complex, restorative and cosmetic dental issues due to: stained teeth, crooked teeth, dental implants, missing teeth, old veneers / laminates, worn crowns and bridgework, worn teeth, accidental tooth loss, deficiencies in lip and facial muscle support and dental problems related to medical conditions.
Prosthodontists are specialists recognized by the American Dental Association who are specifically trained to provide comprehensive cosmetic and restorative dental services for the most complex cases.

Dr. Marisa Drach graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in Manhattan, New York with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree (DMD). After graduation from NYU she completed a dental practice residency at Woodhull Medical Center, NYC. This advanced training included an elevated level of understanding and the management of complex cases including occlusion, TMJ, full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers and whole smile makeovers.
Dr. Drach completed her undergraduate degree in Biology from Hunter College in New York City. She subsequently attended Rutgers University in New Jersey where she received a master’s degree in biomedical science.
Dr. Drach excels at cosmetic dentistry. She is passionate about producing exceptional aesthetic outcomes while at the same time improving function. She is a true perfectionist and her cosmetic dental results definitely show it. As a perfectionist Dr Drach gives attention to detail to make her outcome as aesthetically pleasing as possible every time. Additionally she exudes an excellent bedside manner and a gentle touch. Her patients often compliment her gentle touch and thorough approach to explaining every treatment plan and procedure in terms such that patients can easily understand.
In addition to cosmetic dentistry Dr. Drach is an expert in general dentistry including pain management, root canals, extractions, crowns, dentures, TMJ treatment, gum therapy, bonding, tooth colored fillings and preventative dental care. She is Invisalign certified.
Dr. Drach defines her philosophy towards her patients with one word, “Caring”.
